Free first call (15 minutes)

 

A short phone or video chat to see what you’re hoping for and whether I’m a good fit. There is no charge and no obligation.

 

Session options

  • Standard session (40 minutes): £35 (individual) £45 (couples)

Most people start here. We meet weekly or fortnightly and review together.

  • Extended session (80 minutes): £45 (optional) Please enquire, as it needs to to be booked separately.

This is useful if you prefer fewer but longer meetings.

  • Review/ending session (40 minutes): £35

A focused check-in on progress and next steps, or a planned ending.

 

Concessions

 

I keep a small number of reduced-fee places for people on low income or experiencing financial hardship. If that makes therapy possible for you, please ask about current availability. Concession places are time-limited and reviewed every 3 months.

 

How we meet

 

Online by secure video (Microsoft Teams) or phone. Also, I do message-based counselling via Teams (all in UK time). Adults 18+ only.

 

Booking and payment

  • How to book: Use Book your appointment to choose a time, or contact me if you can’t see a slot that works.

  • Payment can be made by card at the time of booking or via bank transfer on the day, with details provided in your confirmation.

  • Invoices/receipts: Available for your records or employer/insurer if needed.

  • Packages/pre-payment: Not required. You only pay per session.

 

Cancellations & missed sessions.

 

Your time is reserved just for you.

  • 24 hours’ notice lets me offer the slot to someone else – no fee.

  • With less than 24 hours’ notice or a no-show, the full fee is charged.

  • If I need to cancel, you won’t be charged, and we’ll find another time.

  • Late arrivals are welcome, although we’ll still finish at the booked time.

 

Frequency & breaks

 

Weekly or fortnightly tends to work best at the start. We’ll review rhythm and goals every 6 sessions. I’ll give notice of any holidays; you’re welcome to take breaks too – let’s plan them so the work stays steady.

 

What happens after you book

  1. You’ll receive a confirmation email with your video link (if using Microsoft Teams) and payment details.

  2. I’ll send a short welcome form so I know how to contact you and any access needs.

  3. In our first meeting, we’ll set goals together and agree on how we’ll track progress.

 

Boundaries & contact between sessions

 

To keep the work focused and fair, contact between sessions is for admin only (rescheduling, links, invoices). If something urgent comes up about your wellbeing or safety, please use the urgent support & helplines in the menu; otherwise, we’ll talk about it in our next session.

 

Reports, letters & forms

 

If you ask me to complete reports/letters outside sessions, I’ll confirm whether I can and any additional fee based on time required. There’s never a charge for basic attendance notes or receipts.

 

If you need urgent help

 

Counselling with me isn’t an emergency service. If you’re at immediate risk or can’t keep yourself safe, please use Urgent support & helplines on the menu for 24/7 options, or call 999/112. For non-emergencies but urgent medical advice, call 111 (they can also route you to a local mental health crisis team)
